Members of the Korea Emergency Management Association,
 
We are the only NGO organization in Korea, invited to the biennial International Conference on Disaster Reduction 2017 Global Platform.
 
This meeting is hosted by the United Nations and cooperated by NGOs.

The Global Network for Disaster Risk Reduction (GNDR), a global NGO organization,
It is our pleasure to inform you that the Korea NGO Association of the Republic of Korea (KFEM) has been working on mitigation activities for three years (2017-2020) on behalf of Korea.
 
Now, GNDR Far East Asia members are composed of 8 countries including Korea, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Japan, Indonesia and Myanmar.
 
The KEMA will be a major volunteer organization representing the nation and will maintain close relations with eight Far Eastern countries.
 
We have been invited to the 2017 Global Platform (May.22,- 26, 2017), which will be held every two years at UNISDR on December 6th, 2016, and it is difficult to participate in the host city, You will be involved in international conferences. Your participation will be announced in the future.
 
The KEMA, which plays a leading role in UNISDR's 'Climate Change, DisasterResilient City Campaign', will contribute to activities to make 243 municipalities more vulnerable to disasters Will be.
 
There are signs of a heat wave from early May of this year, and from January to April of this year, it is difficult to maintain health by fine and yellow dust.
